LarKC scientific director to speak at EU’s ICT2008 Conference, session “The Expanding Information Universe: New Trends, New Forms, New Usages“, chaired by Ms M├írta Nagy-Rothengass, head of LarKC’s funding unit.

Abstract:
Due to intensive R&D efforts over the past years (much of it EC sponsored), a “web of data” is currently rapidly emerging, already amounting to many billions of interlinked facts, and growing fast. LarKC, the Large Knowledge Collider, is aiming to build an infrastructure for “infinitely scalable reasoning”, combining intelligent selection, approximate reasoning, massive parallalisation and global distribution. LarKC will enable the massive deduction necessary for a truly intelligent “web of data”.
